Greetings Poets and Creators of All Kinds,
Some poetry (especially some of the poems we may have been exposed to during our educational experiences) is so highfalutin, so pretentious, it could leave you with the idea that poems are meant to be obtuse and confusing.
I submit that this is backwards: that poetry is not meant to obfuscate the knowable, rather, poetry’s highest calling is to clarify the ineffable.
To take what is beyond words and try with all its might to put it into words…anyway.
